I started this painting with big expressive swooshes of paint, colors mixing together on the board. I loved it so much I couldn’t go on. It sat in my studio for a long time, beautiful but unfinished. But even something beautiful needs something to disrupt it, to remind you why you love it! So I collaged other colors on top, something dark and hard to contrast with the soft and swooshy. A little beauty and the beast thing.
