Memory Of That Sweet Smell

$70.00

I paint intuitively, without a plan or sketch to reference. This is one of a series of four paintings using predominantly green which I began to think of as forest colors. As I worked on this series, childhood memories of a visit to northern Maine woods came up again and again. These paintings were created using using paper, crayon, acrylic ink and acrylic paint. I like to use found paper or paper that I have painted previously to act as color along with painted brushstrokes and provide a familiar reference which adds interest and sometimes surprise to the piece.

This is an original painting, signed on the back and finished with a UV protective varnish. It will be sent matted and ready for framing. Free shipping within the United States.
